A question to Dominants & submissives in the Lifestyle.
I posed this question earlier. I appreciate the replies I received. I’ll post a few now.

This question is for you guys-those in the know:
Doms/Daddies/Sirs/Masters: What qualities do you look for, require, or admire in your submissive?
subs/girls/boys/pets/littles(so on…) What qualities do you look for or appreciate in your Dominant?…
Trust, first and foremost. If you do not have that, you have nothing.
Open communication. This and trust go hand in hand.
Humility. He should be able to recognize when he doesn’t know something and be willing to admit it. He should never be too proud to admit when he has made a mistake, etc.
Respect. Both for himself and me. Respect what I am, respect what we can achieve together.
Sense of humor. Can’t be serious all the time. =)
Honesty. First and foremost he should be honest with himself, or else he cannot be honest with me.
Integrity.
A pet of some kind. (lifestyle permitting) I know this one sounds weird but it’s my personal policy with anyone I get involved with that they have some kind of animal. I don’t trust a person who doesn’t like animals. =)
Also..I got to thinking, and I wanted to add- He should also have varied interests outside of bdsm and he should be passionate about them, be it sports, reading, art, whatever. It shows me he has other things going on in life and that’s always a good thing.
I would agree with Fatal Fascination. I think those qualities work for me when looking for a sub. Of course the pet requirement is something I don’t need. Intelligence is extremely important too.

I prefer a sub who’s comfortable in their own skin & sexually assertive. A good sense of humor is key cuz life & sex should be fun.
